Mexichem Fluor Inc. (MFI) is working under Department of Energy Grant DE-MS0000009 to design, engineer, plan and build a Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) plant in Louisiana, United States of America.
MFI intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for two (2) redundant HCL absorber packages to remove hydrogen chloride from gas streams using liquid absorption. This package will need to be able to separate HCL from a stream that has HF acid present. Materials are expected to be FRP, graphic block exchangers, stainless steel, and ceramic tower packing.
RFP is expected to be released on-or-about May 26, 2026.
Proposal evaluation factors will include technical, commercial, and governmental compliance, as well as past relevant experience, supplier qualifications and compliance with submittal requirements.
Potential bidders will need to have executed non-disclosure agreements and be successfully registered in good standing with SAM.gov within the 30-day Open Advertisement duration, prior to receiving bid documents.
